My first two overpays of the month, one drastic, one not so much. The Gehrig was the nicest one I have seen, full size and nice centering and the Mantle is amazing in hand.

Man how many Goudeys do you see in grades that high with borders that big. Awesome card.

Thanks guys. As the numbers were getting ridiculous I kept trying to remind myself of the big borders.

79' O-Pee-Chee Wayne Gretzky rookie with beautiful centering and nice corners! Yes, it is raw, but measures fine! I hope this baby comes back as a PSA 8!

I was thinking of selling many of my cards to make a run at that 1956 Mantle, as it looks totally legit to my eye. Congrats. It is a thing of beauty, as is the Gehrig #37.

I was thus forced to settle for a seat in steerage where I completed this beater quartet ranging from 1.5 to 4.5. Maybe when the next Mantle like that surfaces I will move my fleet of banged up Pintos for the shiny Porsche

Matty, those Ruth’s are a darn nice consolation prize. And they look pretty nice to me. Ruth > Mantle in my book any day.
